I'm Arman. I graduated from UC Berkeley (bachelor's) and UCLA (master's) with degrees in Mechanical Engineering. While in college, I tutored friends in math and physics courses for all four years. I also had the opportunity to teach electrical engineering labs as a teacher's assistant. Since graduating, I've been working as an aerospace engineer at OEMs and Airlines, while also being an active adjunct professor at a community college. I love leading engineering courses and inspiring the next generation of innovators.
In addition to teaching whole classrooms, I have tutored students as young as the 5th grade, and as old as third year of college in math, physics, engineering and STEM.
I particularly specialize in providing students with custom exercises that provoke scientific reasoning and critical thinking. My favorite part of teaching - whether a whole class or a single student - is seeing the lightbulb light up! My exercises are customized to each student to take their interests and hobbies, and convert them into teachable STEM concepts, capturing their imagination.
I want to be fully involved with each student I tutor so I limit the number of students I have at any one time to three. This allows me to be easily accessible and it allows me to keep track of individual progress. I also happily welcome feedback and suggestions from the parents, and am available for consultation calls.
