Whatever you choose as a career needs to be something you enjoy and feel passionate about - it's how you spend your day. After all my time in the field of education I find that my enthusiasm has only grown. I currently work as a literacy coach in a state facility where I work with small groups, 1:1, and I go into classrooms to help students achieve and help teachers find alternative paths to student achievement. The population is diverse. Students are 14-20 years old and their abilities are varied. I work with emergent learners, English as a new language, various types of learning/emotional disabilities, Regents level, and college level.
