Over the years, I have known some very inspiring young people who worked hard to accomplish learning that they had not previously imagined. Watching learners grow and develop intellectually is the best reward for a teacher.
In approaching subject matter, I believe that all things are related and I strive to help students see the connections. This is the basis of a well rounded education which goes beyond knowing to understanding.
Concerning individual students, I always start from the point of finding out what the student knows and watching how he or she approaches learning naturally. I look forward to new experiences in which I can learn from my students, as well.
