Satvik M.

Hi! My name is Satvik. I am currently pursuing my Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, but have a strong background in a wide variety of subjects, such as Mathematics, Computer Science, Spanish, English, and a few more.

I completed my high school education at Northfield Mount Hermon, a private preparatory school, where I was a math and Spanish tutor through Spanish IV and Calculus I. I have experience tutoring students from start to finish, and acting as a mentor in helping students fill in the gaps in their education, as well. My experience in teaching is mostly in-class, but I can do both in-class and online confidently using digital whiteboards.

My approach to teaching is making things as intuitive as possible, so students can make connections between their coursework and real-world examples of what they are learning. I believe that these connections are fundamental in a student's true comprehension of any material.

I have tutored students in:

CS (Python, Java, JavaScript), Calculus (AB/ University Calculus 1), English (college level reading and writing), and Spanish (highschool Spanish 1-4).

I can also teach AP Physics C Mechanics, AP Physics 1, and more.

I mostly work with students in middle-school and high-school, but am comfortable teaching students of all ages.
