I am a PhD candidate at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, where my research focuses on cancer genetics, epigenetics, and prostate cancer metabolism. I also hold an MS in Biotechnology with a concentration in Biochemistry and Separation Science, along with a BS in Biotechnology with a minor in Pharmacology and Toxicology. My academic and research training has provided me with a strong foundation in biology, biochemistry, genetics, molecular biology, pharmacology, and related life sciences, as well as extensive laboratory and data analysis experience.
I have been involved in teaching at the University at Buffalo and Roswell Park since 2017, serving as a teaching assistant for both undergraduate and graduate courses with classes ranging from approximately 15 to 60 students. In my teaching, I focus on breaking complex scientific concepts into manageable pieces, working through problems step by step, and adapting my explanations to each student's individual learning needs. I encourage students to ask questions, work through concepts at their own pace, and connect what they are learning to practical examples and real-world applications.
My teaching experience includes courses involving clinical biochemistry, bioseparation techniques, clinical hematology and hemostasis, genomic and proteomic analyses, tumor microenvironment, and epigenetics. I have led review sessions, held office hours, assisted students with laboratory experiments, provided one-on-one academic support, and delivered lectures and discussions.
