I have been working with children in educational settings since I was a teenager, beginning with tutoring programs such as America Reads and Counts and Jumpstart while in college. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Childhood and Special Education in 2018, obtaining dual certification, and later completed my Bilingual Extension in Spanish. During college, I also worked as a one-to-one aide in a day treatment center for children with emotional disturbances, gaining valuable experience in individualized and special education support.

After graduation, I began teaching as a Dual Language teacher, first in a one-way Spanish/English program and then in a two-way model, where I taught exclusively in Spanish across two homerooms. I developed strong familiarity with Common Core standards and curricula such as Teachers College Reading & Writing, EngageNY Math, and American Reading Company. More recently, I taught second grade in a general education classroom while also providing state-mandated instructional hours for English Language Learners through my bilingual certification.

With over six years of classroom teaching and more than a decade of tutoring and academic support, I bring deep experience in general, bilingual, and special education. I am skilled at differentiating instruction, scaffolding lessons, and supporting students from diverse backgrounds, including English Language Learners and students with special needs. I am passionate about fostering student growth and confidence, and I approach tutoring with patience, creativity, and a strong commitment to meeting each learner’s unique needs.
