I taught English AP 11 for 12 years, and during this time helped students prepare for the AP exam with tips and tricks for their writing. I am also able to help students craft essays and organize their thoughts. Additionally, I have an interest in helping teachers, or budding teachers, who are interested in curriculum development and lesson plans that are engaging and focused for student learning.

Tutoring is a unique experience because instead of a large classroom environment, it provides the opportunity to support the student one-on-one. There can be a focus on difficulties related to the individual student, and I can provide support that is tailor-made.

I have a background in English language and composition, but can also aid in literature interpretation and organization of writing. Making sure students feel comfortable and confident when they go into the AP exam is important to me, and having all the information to succeed should help to eliminate a fair amount of anxiety. I can also assist in writing essays for college applications or any other English-related homework assignment!
