I have a holistic approach to helping students with ADHD, Dyslexia and related language learning difficulties. Each student is their own unique combination of abilities and challenges, and I help to build up the strengths and straighten out the inefficiencies in learning. I am an Orton-Gillingham and Feuerstein trained Educational Therapist, and have been helping students of all ages for more than twenty years to read, write, spell and comprehend. I also specialize in Meta-cognitive training and Executive Funcition skills.

I know how frustrating it is for a bright kid to struggle in school. I also know, that with the right help, these student can shine. It's not just passing the test, or writing the essay. Grades are important in today's world, but I live for the "Aha" moments. Nothing compares to when a student comes in to share how what we did together made it come together OUTSIDE of our sessions, in the real world.

For over 20 years, I have worked with students with ADD, and Learning Disabilities. This experience has been both in the classroom as well as in a supervised clinical practice. My first internship was with the Feuerstein Institute in Jerusalem. In addition to my education and psychology training, I have also worked with neurologists in Israel, Thailand and the US providing educational therapy for their clients.

I am Orton-Gillingham trained by Amy Bailin, M.Ed., FAOGPE, at Level 2 training. I have completed 300 hrs. of supervised clinical teaching of students with dyslexia, and have adapted the Orton-Gillingham Approach for the Hebrew Language as well. I have been a speaker and workshop leader for the Everyone Reading conference in NYC.

My son likes working with Ann and looks forwards to lessons with her. He believes the work they do together helps him at school. She provides her owns lessons and is working to provide the necessary groundwork to help his reading and comprehension.
