About Ahmad

Bio

As a fourth-year medical student at SUNY Upstate Medical University graduating in May 2026, I’ve built my academic path around both mastering high-stakes exams and helping others do the same. My own scores—268 on Step 2, first-attempt pass on Step 1, 95%+ on every shelf exam, and a 515 on the MCAT—reflect an approach centered on disciplined, longitudinal learning rather than last-minute cramming. These experiences shaped how I teach: I focus on building durable knowledge, teaching students...

These experiences shaped how I teach: I focus on building durable knowledge, teaching students how to think through questions the way exam writers do, and creating structured pathways that lead to consistent score improvement.

Over the past several years, I’ve accumulated more than 1,000 hours of tutoring and teaching across the pre-medical and medical curriculum. I have served as a Physics TA, Physics Lab TA, Organic Chemistry TA, Basic Medical Science tutor (including anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pathology, and foundational sciences), and a Gross Anatomy TA. Through my medical school’s AOA tutoring program, I have also worked closely with students in both pre-clinical and clinical phases, helping them strengthen high-yield reasoning and develop sustainable study frameworks. My experiences have given me a deep appreciation for how different students learn, where common pitfalls occur, and how to guide learners from confusion to confidence.

My tutoring style is highly personalized and grounded in evidence-based study design. I help students create structured study plans, build mastery through spaced repetition, develop strong pattern recognition for NBME-style questions, and translate content knowledge into real exam performance. Whether you are preparing for the MCAT, your shelf exams, or the USMLE Step exams, my goal is to help you study smarter, learn more effectively, and approach every exam with clarity, confidence, and a well-defined strategy.
