More importantly, I possess great communication skills and have a good idea how to relate complex math topics to students who have trouble understanding them. I specialize in preparation for the NY Math Regents tests as well as AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC and AP Statistics. I can also tutor undergraduate and graduate students in calculus, probability, and statistics. I also have experience tutoring the first few preliminary actuarial exams.
My tutoring experience consists of private tutoring as well as tutoring in a private company geared for K-12 students. I also have tutored as an undergraduate in college but enjoy tutoring children of all ages. I believe that the key to effective tutoring is understanding what needs to be done in a math problem and instructing the right procedure to attack that problem.
I can tutor for the actuarial exams as well, as I have achieved high scores for the P, FM, MLC, C (which can be applied to the current FAM and ALTAM/ASTAM) and MFE exams.
