I’m a college student with a strong background in math and am currently taking Calculus I after earning an A in Precalculus. In Precalculus, I consistently performed well on exams, earning scores of 90, 93, and 100, which reflects both my understanding of the material and my ability to apply concepts accurately. I tutor Elementary Math, Prealgebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Precalculus. I am especially comfortable helping students strengthen their algebra and function skills, since these topics form the foundation for success in higher level math courses.
My tutoring style is focused on being patient, clear, and adaptable to each student’s needs. I believe many students struggle with math because the material was not explained in a way that made sense to them the first time. During sessions, I break problems down step by step and take the time to explain why certain methods work rather than having students memorize formulas. I encourage questions and make sure students feel comfortable asking for clarification, since confidence plays a big role in math success.
I primarily work in one on one settings and adjust each session based on the student’s current class, homework assignments, or upcoming tests. I have experience helping middle school and high school students improve their understanding through guided practice, reviewing mistakes, and reinforcing key concepts. My goal as a tutor is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to help them feel more confident and independent when approaching math problems on their own.
