I am currently a high school student with a strong academic focus in math and science, and I will be attending Boston University next year for college. Throughout high school, I have taken challenging coursework in subjects such as mathematics and biology, which has helped me develop a solid understanding of problem-solving and scientific reasoning. As a student, I have learned how important it is to break down complex material into clear, manageable steps, and this approach shapes how I work with students during tutoring sessions.

My tutoring experience includes both formal and informal settings. Last year, I tutored students at my former middle school for several months, where I worked primarily with younger students to reinforce math and science concepts in one-on-one and small-group environments. I focused on helping students understand foundational skills, practice applying concepts, and build confidence in their abilities. In addition, I have been tutoring family members for the past year in math and science subjects, adjusting my explanations to fit different learning styles and pacing needs.

I also currently serve as a teaching assistant for biology at my high school. In this role, I help students review course material, clarify difficult topics, and prepare for assessments by walking through concepts step by step. This experience has strengthened my ability to explain scientific ideas clearly and patiently, especially to students who may be struggling. Overall, my goal as a tutor is to help students develop confidence in math and science by emphasizing understanding, practice, and a supportive learning environment.
