I am a literacy specialist with more than 30 years of experience working as a speech-language pathologist in both small classroom and individualized treatment settings. Throughout my career, I have supported children and adolescents with a wide range of language-based learning needs, always with a focus on building strong, confident communicators and readers through evidence-based, developmentally appropriate instruction.
My background includes extensive training in Orton-Gillingham methodology, literacy development, language processing, phonology, vocabulary development, and myofunctional therapy. I specialize in working with students who present with language processing disorders and literacy difficulties, integrating structured, multisensory approaches that address the underlying language skills necessary for reading, writing, and academic success.
I hold a master’s degree and am certified in New York State as a Teacher of Speech and Hearing Handicapped. This dual perspective—as both a speech-language pathologist and literacy specialist—allows me to take a comprehensive, individualized approach to assessment and instruction, supporting each learner’s unique profile while fostering meaningful, lasting progress.
