I have been teaching guitar and music theory since 2004, and even though my expertise is in guitar, I can teach and tutor in piano as well. I also worked as a language and math tutor in college. My approach to teaching and tutoring is definitely tailored to individual students, where I assess where they are at and help them grow from their own starting point. I also look at their interests, goals, and expectations to ensure they are getting the best learning experience for their needs.
I have taught and tutored all ages, from children starting at 5 years old to adults in their 50s. Over the last 20 years I have taught and tutored in classroom settings, though most of my experience has been one-on-one private tutoring/lessons.
