Hi! I’m Roma, a patient and energetic tutor with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a strong background in pre-med and pre-dental studies. I graduated summa cum laude from Brooklyn College and was on the Dean’s List every semester, which reflects my dedication, strong work ethic, and genuine love for learning.
For the past six years, I’ve worked closely with children ages 3–12 in both academic and childcare settings, helping them strengthen their reading, writing, math, and science skills. I have experience supporting students at different learning levels, including those who struggle with focus or motivation, as well as advanced learners who need extra challenges. I make learning fun and interactive through creative, hands-on activities, real-life examples, and positive reinforcement that keeps students excited and engaged.
My background in psychology gives me a deep understanding of how children think and learn. I take the time to learn each student’s personality, strengths, and areas for growth so I can tailor every session to their individual needs and learning style. I believe that every child is capable of success when they feel supported and encouraged. My goal is not only to improve grades but to build confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.
I take pride in being reliable, organized, and easy to communicate with. Parents appreciate that I provide updates on their child’s progress and suggestions for continued growth outside of sessions. Most importantly, I create a calm and positive environment where students feel safe to make mistakes, ask questions, and grow at their own pace.
I truly love what I do and find so much joy in watching my students gain confidence and pride in their achievements.
