I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems and Applied Mathematics from Stony Brook University, where I graduated early with strong academic standing. I have also earned certifications in Microsoft Excel, Adobe, and Google AI Data Training/Mining, which enhance my ability to integrate technology into tutoring and provide students with practical, real-world skills. My academic background has given me a strong foundation in mathematics, programming, and problem-solving, which I apply directly to my teaching.

I have several years of tutoring experience at both the middle school and university level. As head academic tutor and manager at a local tutoring center, I prepared students in grades 6 through 8 for New York City’s SHSAT exam, focusing on mathematics, grammar, and writing. I created structured lessons and adapted them to fit each student’s needs in both one-on-one and group settings. At the university level, I served as a teaching assistant for Object-Oriented Programming, helping students work through coding challenges in Java and C while developing their problem-solving abilities.

My approach to tutoring is student-centered, balancing confidence-building with academic rigor. With younger students, I use interactive methods to keep lessons engaging, while with older students, I emphasize structured practice and real-world application. Having taught in both classroom and small group environments, I adapt quickly to different learning styles and contexts. These experiences have shaped my philosophy of fostering not only subject mastery but also independent learning skills.
