Hi! I’m Amanda, an incoming dental student at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. I graduated summa cum laude from Hunter College with a B.A. in Human Biology, where I was a Macaulay Honors Scholar—a competitive program that granted me a full-tuition scholarship. Throughout my academic career, I gained valuable experience in stem cell research at both NYU Grossman School of Medicine and a dental pulp stem cell banking company, further solidifying my passion for science and education. Tutoring has always been my most cherished pursuit, as I find great joy in helping students build their confidence, academic skills, and personal growth, whether in the short term or throughout their educational journey.

My tutoring journey began in 2020 with No Fuss Tutors, and I later founded my own family tutoring business. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with students across all grade levels, from elementary to twelfth grade. I specialize in math (elementary, pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, algebra II), science (biology, chemistry, physics), and SAT prep. Moreover, I have supported students with diverse learning styles, including those with Tourette’s and ADHD. I am committed to fostering a positive learning environment, where every student feels confident and supported in their academic growth.

I help students navigate the complexities of college and graduate applications. My focus is on crafting strong personal statements, fostering strong interview skills, and supporting students in achieving their long-term career goals. I have successfully helped students gain admission to prestigious schools such as Yale University, UPenn, and the Sophie Davis Biomedical Program.
