Hello, my name is Gracie G.! I am currently attending Wagner College and studying computer science with a specialization in software engineering. I attended one of the top public high schools in Oregon, West Linn High School, and took various AP courses with my time there. Sticking to what I know best, AP Chemistry, AP computer science, AP Physics, etc. Graduating with a 4.2 GPA while being a captain on our softball team I decided to take my academic and athletics to Wagner while pursuing my education while playing softball on the division 1 level.
Throughout my time at my high school, I volunteered at our tutor center for middle school and high school students. There I tutored students in Algebra, Trigonometry, Pre-calc, and chemistry. I tend to have the approach of watching the student think through a problem and have them ask questions, and then I go through the question with them. I find this helps the student concept the concept more than just giving help right away. I also volunteered at STEM camps over the summer hosted by our schools robotics team to teach the younger generation. I have been tutoring in these environments for the past two years and I am the most experienced teaching middle schoolers and high schoolers, but I am always open to teaching younger as well!
