Hello All,
I am a teacher with 20 years of experience both tutoring and teaching. I am dually certified in both Special Education and Secondary Education. I have worked with students between the ages of 4 and 21. I currently work in a middle/high school, and teach 7th and 8th graders. My focus here on Wyzant will be Reading and Biology; specifically Living Environment. I will also provide Study Skills and Life Coaching.

I am a teacher with 20 years of experience both tutoring and teaching. I am dually certified in both Special Education and Secondary Education. I have worked with students between the ages of 4 and 21. I currently work in a middle/high school, and teach 7th and 8th graders. My focus here on Wyzant will be Reading and Biology; specifically Living Environment. I will also provide Study Skills and Life Coaching.

I have a passion for tutoring students as it is a rewarding experience for me when I can help a student better understand a topic he/she has been struggling with. I have learned that students do better in school when they are confident about the subject area they are studying. Tutoring affords the opportunity to build that confidence through one-on-one instruction, specifically tailored to the individual needs of each student.

I have a background in Reading and Writing, having taught a Middle School/High School reading program for several years

I have taught Living Environment (Biology) for over 10 years, and served as the Department Chair for for two consecutive years, of my High School Science Department.

I participated in Penn Relays, and completed in 4 championship races. I received a championship ring for winning individual events. I was a scholarship athlete. I coached Co-Ed Track and Field at Far Rockaway High School (2005-2007).
