I am a dedicated educator with over thirty-five years' teaching experience. I have had success preparing students at all levels for a wide variety of subjects, including Hebrew Regents, English Matriculation exams abroad, Bar and Bat Mitzvah preparation, conversational Hebrew and Bible Studies. My licensing includes Hebrew, English and French high school certification, Common Branches elementary, and a degree in administration. I am currently teaching a beginning Hebrew conversational course to adults and am myself enrolled in a course in an advanced Judaic learning institute. I love to learn and to help others acquire new skills. My approach differs with each individual that I teach, depending on his/her needs and ability. My belief is that every student can progress with the right tools and methods.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am not a certified special ed teacher, but have an autistic son with moderate MR. Having dealt with therapists and professionals in the field for thirty years, I have a good understanding of Spectrum individuals. I network regularly and attend seminars on latest practices and medications. I have served as a parent advocate on CSE committees, and am actively involved in dealing with problem behaviors at my son's residence.
I am a licensed Hebrew teacher with Yeshiva studies through high school. I taught Bible studies for 35 years at an accredited Hebrew Day School. I taught and tutored Regents Hebrew and Bible Studies. I currently learn Tanach at the Drisha Institute for Women in NYC.
I hold a New York State Teaching License in K-6. I taught 4th, 5th and 6th grades in Long Island and 1st 4th in Sheepshead Bay, B'klyn.
I am certified in English, French, and Hebrew and hold Masters and Administrative certifications from New York State. I taught English abroad and prepared students for Matriculation exams.
I love working with people who are truly interested in furthering their language skills. I lived abroad for three years and taught English to speakers of other languages there with great success. I am also a French major.
I was fortunate to study linguistic with Dr. Noam Chomsky, while I lived abroad. I have taught grammar and reading to many different kinds of students.
I am fluent in Hebrew and have taught the subject at the middle school and college level for over thirty years. I am New York State certified in Hebrew at the high school level.
As a licensed English teacher, I have always appreciated the structure of sentences. I speak several languages and have taught students to decode and comprehend a language by understanding how that language uses letter sounds, blends and syntax in its construction. I am certified to teach phonics as part of a Common Branches curriculum.
I have prepared students for the Hebrew Regents for over ten years. Since Regents is subject-specific, I am qualified to teach for all Regents subjects in which I am certified.
I am a certified K-12th grade teacher with over 35 years' experience teaching reading, language and linguistic skills in several languages. I ran an advisory program for Middle School study skills to teach students to organize, pace, and check their work. i have also mentored student teachers in teaching methodology and practice.
I hold a CAS license from New Paltz certifying me as an administrator.
I have been playing tennis for over 40 years. I originally learned from a tennis pro who taught at a resort hotel. I currently play in regular games twice a week.
