I am a versatile author with expertise in creative writing, editing, teaching, and tutoring. I have extensive knowledge and practice in all aspects of the English language, having graduated cum laude from Daemen University with a BA in English - Professional Writing concentration. I also graduated summa cum laude from Long Island University - Brooklyn with an MFA in Creative Writing. My children's books, The Big Race, The Scouts' Camp, and The Road Accident have been published by Queenex Publishers. I have published award-winning short stories and poetry as well.

I am passionate about educating young learners and have done so in my role as a substitute teacher with the New York City Department of Education at Glen Morris Elementary School, Robert A. Van Wyck Middle School, and Marie Curie Middle School all located in Queens, NYC. For the past 4 years, I have also tutored students aged 12-17 in Manhattan and Queens in the SAT, SSAT, SHSAT, and NY State exams in a one-on-one format in person and online, 3 to 1 format, and group classes. I constantly adapt to new changes such as the new digital SHSAT and digital SAT. I focus on teaching useful techniques to tackle each type of question that students can expect on their tests. I have a proven record of student improvement and achievement, including >100 point increase in SAT scores. I have also tutored students to improve their reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, or writing skills.

My goal is to foster a love for language in learners that not only helps them build critical skills, but also sparks their curiosity and instills confidence. My teaching philosophy is that every student is capable of excelling with dedication and practice, and I am committed to help my students achieve their goals.
