Stephanie - patient, kind, informative tutor.
Qualifying the review: my youngest of three children (9th grade/home school) meets with Stephanie weekly for SAT prep and has done so for several months. My review is from the perspective of a long time wyzant user, having experienced many tutors, in many topics. Of those tutors only three were consistently recurrent, with Stephanie being one of them. Short and sweet: Stephanie is punctual, accommodating, forthright, reliable, professional, prepared, knowledgeable, communicative, kind and understanding. She is everything I would like a teacher to be for my daughter. More in depth: my daughter and I, are very pleased with the gains she has achieved while working with Stephanie. My daughter’s practice SAT/ACT scores have been going up as well as her confidence in her knowledge base. Stephanie and her kind/informative/consistent approach not only reinforces/refreshes older concepts but also introduces new concepts and she does so in a way that builds my daughter’s confidence and knowledge base. Stephanie is never frustrated or impatient if a concept was forgotten or needs further explanation (something many students face in school and tutoring sessions) which is IMPERATIVE for my daughter to gain confidence. Stephanie provides ‘homework’ to go over, she also accepts requests for help on material prior to a session. My daughter also has test anxiety that is diminishing through consistent practice and meetings. I 100 percent recommend Stephanie.

Stephine is very detailed and well organized and well and clearly explain the concepts and example to the students. My son struggled some of the area and she looked specifically those areas and helped to improve his skills. After finishing every class she has provided summary which was really awesome and gives great idea what area needs to be focused and improved etc., I really appreciate her teaching skills and ability to explains well.
