I am a native Italian speaker who was born and raised in Italy until the age of 12, giving me a strong linguistic and cultural foundation. After moving to New York, I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Italian from Binghamton University, where I helped run the Italian Club and tutored fellow college students in Italian.
I later earned a Master’s degree in Teaching Italian (Grades 7–12) from Stony Brook University. During my graduate studies, I continued tutoring and worked with the Italian Center on campus, further developing my ability to adapt instruction to different learning styles and proficiency levels.
I am currently in my third year teaching at St. Francis Prep as a high school Italian teacher. I teach Italian Level 2 to sophomore students and an Italian culture course to seniors. I have experience working with students in both classroom and one-on-one settings, focusing on building strong grammar foundations, improving conversational skills, and increasing overall confidence in the language.
My tutoring approach is student-centered and personalized. I tailor each session to the student’s goals, whether that is improving grades, preparing for exams, or strengthening speaking and comprehension skills.
In addition to teaching, I am a JV boys soccer coach and work in the school fitness center helping students with their fitness goals. I previously worked as a personal trainer, which has strengthened my ability to motivate students and create structured, goal-oriented learning environments.
