My experience as an high school teacher has developed a passion and personal commitment to three things: fostering a positive learning environment for students with various backgrounds, maximizing individual student performance and developing student interest in technology.
In my most recent position as 4th grade teacher. I developed highly effective lesson plans, motivational exercises and effective assessments that promoted interest and knowledge retention. I have also been highly successful in have helping children with special needs succeed academically and socially in mainstream classrooms. I stressed critical thinking and applied real-world examples to engage students. I've received calls from parents thanking me and emphasizing that their child is a "different child" thanks to the extra time I spent working with him or her and that I have the natural ability to engage students and make each one feel he or she is the only one in the room--which no small feat when teaching in overcrowded classrooms with 30 or more students!I am looking forward to hearing from you.
