I am a focused individual. I know how to take thoughts and put them into action. I always put first things first. As an award-winning writer and reporter, I possess eighteen years of business journalism, photography and editing experience; four of which were spent tutoring other Canadian journalists how to write to a professional grade. I have completed approximately 15,000 interviews with business people and politicians during my career. I have worked as the News Editor for two regional publications in Saskatchewan and Alberta and as the Business Editor for a news service in Canada's North. I possess six years of post-secondary education; I graduated with high honors from journalism school (with a 94% average) while heading up the campus newspaper as one of two Senior Editors, managing a staff of 30 reporters, and worked part-time as a Professor's Assistant during university while sitting on student representative councils for four consecutive years. I recently completed the 120-hour ICAL TEFL course (with an 88% average). I have worked internationally as a Textbook Editor in China and as an ESL Instructor in Saudi Arabia, and have traveled to Dubai, Cairo and Qatar. I possess four years of volunteer public relations experience. I also possess eight years of sales and marketing experience, lending to my ability not only to write the news, but to also write marketing and business communications copy.
