Growing up in NYC, I understand firsthand the pressure students face in today’s academic environment. I attended a specialized high school (HSMSE) and graduated from New York University with a bachelor’s degree in Public Health and Biology. I am currently pursuing my Master of Public Health in Epidemiology. My passion for education began as a student teacher through NYU’s America Reads and Counts program, where I saw firsthand how individualized attention and encouragement can make a meaningful difference in a student’s growth. Since then, I have continued working with students because I believe tutoring provides the support, confidence, and competitive edge students need to succeed in an increasingly demanding world.

For the past eight years, I have worked with students of all ages and learning styles, both in person and online. Math is my specialty, with experience ranging from Pre-Algebra and Algebra 1 & 2 to Geometry, Trigonometry, and Precalculus. I also tutor English foundations, including reading and writing, as well as Living Environment and Biology. Additionally, I have extensive experience preparing students for standardized tests, including the SHSAT, SAT, and ACT. As a former specialized high school student and NYU graduate, I understand the preparation, critical thinking, and time-management skills needed to succeed on these exams.

I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to learning. I am patient, encouraging, and willing to explain concepts from multiple perspectives because every student learns differently. My goal is not only to improve academic performance, but also to build confidence and create a safe environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and learning at their own pace.
