My name is Sayaka. I'm a native Japanese speaker and certified Japanese tutor with 6 year's experience.
I was born and raised in Hyogo, Japan and graduated from Kyoto University of Foreign Studies with BA. I majored British and American languages and worked in the Overseas Sales Division of Japanese Electric company in Tokyo.

Sayaka-san is the BEST sensei. I am so lucky to have found her. Our lessons are the best part of my week. I am always so excited to meet. She teaches with wonderful slides, goes over the assigned homework, and is always making sure that I am following along. Her practice questions/role plays are wonderful. Each lesson is the perfect mix of fun and learning which makes the learning experience all the more rewarding. I can't wait to continue learning from her!

Yesterday, we reviewed frequency verbs and created sentences with them. We also reviewed verbs from the previous lessons and combined everything so I was able to describe my week! Thank you!

This week we went over the particle “mo” and how to use it in conversation like “watashi mo”. We also practiced more conversational phrases and how to say “suki jenai desu”!! Thank you!!!

Yesterday, I learned how to ask and tell time. We went back and forth practicing and eventually I was able to read the time of a clock! We also practiced more helpful phrases like “what do you like?”!! Thank you!!

Second lesson
Yesterday, we learned the particle “no” and how to use it. We went back and forth practicing a conversational dialogue with the new phrases I learned! I also learned how to type in Japanese! :)

Yesterday we went over like/dislike phrases and numbers! It was challenging at first for me, but eventually I got the hang of it! We also practiced how to introduce myself in writing!!
