Bonjour! I am French and Canadian by birth, with a Master's in Economics from Université Paris I – La Sorbonne and a BA from McGill University in Montreal. I studied and lived in Paris, and over a 25-year career as a marketing executive in luxury, beauty and fashion, I worked closely with French companies like L’Oreal and LVMH, leading meetings, presentations and negotiations in French. That means I teach the French people actually use, at work, at the dinner table and in everyday life. While tutoring is a new chapter for me, teaching has always been part of my work. As a senior leader, I trained and mentored teams at every experience level, breaking complex ideas into clear steps and adapting to how each person learns. I now bring that approach to French, working one-on-one with high school students and adults, in person in Westchester and Connecticut, or online.
With teenagers, I build confidence alongside grades: grammar and vocabulary in context, test and AP French preparation, and speaking practice until it feels natural rather than stressful. With adults, I tailor lessons to real goals, whether that's traveling comfortably, writing a polished email or holding your own in a business meeting in French.
Every lesson is conversation-first and personalized. I start by understanding where you are and what you want to achieve, then combine speaking practice, targeted grammar and real materials like articles, emails and short videos. I'm patient, encouraging and honest about progress, and I love helping students discover that French is not only manageable but genuinely fun. à bientôt!
