No matter what I am writing about, the art of written communication has brought me so much joy and curiosity. I love the way we can shape our ideas on paper and give others a window into our thought processes. I have always found excitement in being able to transfer this passion to my students, whether through tutoring or classroom teaching. I believe the skills of writing and reading are not only beneficial for improving grades, but also for lifelong confidence.
I have tutored throughout my university career, middle school, high school, and university students, working on test prep (both ACT and SAT), reading comprehension, essay writing and proofreading, as well as college admissions applications and interview preparation. These years of experience have not only helped me hone my expertise in the craft of English, but also taught me to approach each student uniquely, analysing their specific needs and learning styles to help them achieve their goals while instilling learning tools that are applicable throughout the rest of their lives and careers.
Because of the Oxford and Cambridge one-on-one tutorial system (which I have gone through myself as a student, as well as mentored in) I have been able to give over a unique experience to my students which focuses on academic excellence and precision while preserving their individual voices, as well as a love of learning.
