Hi! I'm Jeremy, a veteran SAT tutor and pre-med student finishing my BS in Biology at a top university just outside Boston. When I took the SAT, I scored in the 97th percentile, but that's not why I started tutoring it. After years of tutoring a variety of subjects, I realized I was naturally talented at helping students raise their standardized test scores. Over the past 3 years I've tutored over 100 students one-on-one, most for the SAT, and I've held a 5.0-star rating on both national tutoring platforms where I've previously worked. My students have gone on to earn perfect and near-perfect scores and admission to schools like NYU, Northwestern, and Columbia. Many raised their scores by 300+ points, and every student who started below 1300 and worked with me for at least 10 hours improved by at least 200 points.
The SAT is what I tutor the most. I cover all parts of the current digital test. I also regularly tutor Algebra I and II, AP Calc BC, AP Chem, AP Biology, and AP Lang. Many families also use me as an all-around tutor for students in seventh through twelfth grade. I help with homework, study habits, and college applications.
Tutoring is genuinely the most fulfilling thing I've ever done. I believe a good teacher needs more than knowledge. They need the interpersonal skills to explain clearly and help students learn and stay motivated. My rule is simple: if a session doesn't feel genuinely helpful, I'm not doing my job. We'll start by figuring out where you are and how you learn best. Then we'll build a real understanding of the concepts and how to study them. For test prep, that means pairing content review with strategies that save time and points, and constantly practicing under realistic conditions so nothing on test day surprises you.
I take my responsibilities seriously. I have a 3.87 GPA, and I am a certified EMT and a caregiver, so patience and staying calm under pressure come naturally to me. Message me anytime with any questions about your goals, or to book a first lesson!
