I own a coding and education company.
I teach and do Medical billing and coding, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, healthcare law and ethics, electronic health records, healthcare administration, communications, business, business ethics, and management. I serve as department head for an educational organization and oversee two university programs. I've been a contributing author to allied health texts and written curricula for healthcare and stand on the board for several certification organizations in differing capacities. Healthcare technology companies seek my advice in developing their medical coding and electronic health record programs. Educational organizations consult with me on their healthcare programs. Indeed, the job search company hired me to work on their assessment programs.

I am Department Head for Health Information Technology at a university and I teach A&P for that school and a vocational school. I like anatomy because I have applications that I can use for visuals and access to other applications where you can practice and play with anatomy information. We could get together live or I can do virtual very easily also with screen sharing.

Working in over 30 years in the business of healthcare helped me develop an understanding of the field from the most scoped out view to the most zoned in view. During that time, I've worked many specialties of care in many types of facilities. This gives me a particularly unique perspective on this industry. Excellent! Absolutely NO REGRETS! Highly Recommend Zia!!!!

I had about six sessions with Zia, helping me to prepare to take the CPC Exam for my second attempt. I have never felt more prepared and confident to take on the exam, especially since I'm new to the Medical Billing & Coding arena. Zia was so helpful, she filled in all the gaps of information that I was missing, particularly in the guidelines, terminology, and just general knowledge questions that will come up. I practiced with her on particular sections that were difficult for me, and I reviewed them with her on our follow-up sessions. Zia is patient with you, she helped clear up any confusion or what-if questions you may come across, and overall it was money well spent! I highly recommend Zia to anyone who needs an in-depth understanding of coding & the different sections of the CPT book. I went into my exam with the strategy I felt worked best for me, and I even had time to spare to look over my answers before time ran out.
