My name is Melissa, and I have been a dedicated educator for over fourteen years. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education from SUNY Oneonta, a Master’s degree in Communications and Journalism from Quinnipiac University, and a Master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from Canisius College. My diverse educational background has allowed me to develop a strong understanding of literacy development, language acquisition, and effective communication strategies, all of which I integrate into my teaching and tutoring practice.
Throughout my career, I have taught students at every level—from early elementary through college—both in classroom settings and through individualized instruction. I have spent more than a decade privately tutoring students in person and have over eight years of experience teaching and tutoring online. My approach is student-centered and adaptive; I tailor each lesson to meet the learner’s unique goals, academic level, and learning style.
