Hello, my name is Thomas! I'm a PhD in Biomedical Engineering who graduated this summer from Drexel University with a 4.0 GPA! Before my PhD, I received my BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering at Villanova University. I worked at Villanova as an adjunct professor in mechanical engineering, and at both Drexel and Villanova as a teaching assistant.
I have always been passionate about education, and in fact, education was a major factor in my decision to pursue academia. At Drexel, I sought to improve my pedagogy by taking extracurricular programs through the Center for Integration of Research and Learning (CIRTL), which strengthened my knowledge and understanding of effective STEM educational principles. I will use these principles to ensure that your tutoring will be effective and robust!
In the past I have tutored high school college students in engineering principles, mathematics (trigonometry, calculus, etc.), fluid dynamics, statics, biomechanics, biology, as well as SAT subject testing. I have expensive experience with engineering softwares such as MatLAB and SolidWorks, as well as statistical analysis in Excel and SPSS. I also do video editing on the side and am well versed in Adobe Premiere Pro, so I would be happy to tutor that as well! If you think you would stand to benefit from effective tutoring from a PhD with a wealth of academic and teaching experience, do not hesitate to reach out!
