Originally from the Midwest and am now living in Rochester, New York.

I recently finished my doctoral degree in jazz studies at the Eastman School of Music.

I have been teaching privately for over 10 years. I have had long lasting students ranging from elementary school students to adults just wanting to get better at their musical hobby.

I have a studio setup in my home and have been teaching online lessons for the past 5 years

  • Rate details: I charge $40 for a half hour, $50 for an hour, and $65 for an hour and a half.

I have studied music composition privately with Dr. Lucas Bernier (University of Mary), Dr. Lisa Bost (University of North Dakota) and Dr. Michael Conrad (University of Northern Iowa) I have also studied orchestration and arranging in both my undergraduate studies as well as my master's studies.
Drums

Drums

I have been playing drum set and classical percussion for well over a decade, and have performed professionally in an incredibly wide array of genres. I was a section percussionist in the Bismarck-Mandan Symphony Orchestra, played drum set in a popular funk brass band, steel band, multiple jazz combos, and led my own jazz trio that performed regularly. I teach a comprehensive and complete approach to the drum set.
