For TEAS Prep, I can assist you with all TEAS subjects, including math, reading, English, and science sections (scientific reasoning, life science, anatomy and physiology, and chemistry/physical science).
I live in Rochester, New York, and I have taught the TEAS prep course at Rochester Regional Health Care multiple times. In addition, I have successfully taught the TEAS prep course to individual students hundreds of times. My qualifications include a BA in English from the University of Rochester, as well as a BS in biology and DPM degree from Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago. In the past, I have been a classroom teacher for math (algebra and geometry) in a local high school.

For SAT prep, I focus on strategies and test-taking skills, as well as practice and explanations with actual testing material. I am able to teach and review math skills and operations, as well as English grammar, vocabulary, and reading comprehension specific to the SAT.

In addition to SAT prep, I am an experienced math tutor for middle school math through Regents geometry. I have experience tutoring students with a variety of different learning styles. In addition to academics, I provide support and encouragement, emphasize strengths, and focus on creating a positive, fun learning experience. I hold a B.A. in English from the University of Rochester, as well as a B.S. in Biology and D.P.M. medical degree from Scholl College in Chicago.

I have been teaching and tutoring math, reading, and English for over 6 years, including preparing students for the Accuplacer test. I currently teach high school algebra and can help students prepare for all math levels for the Accuplacer, including high school algebra and geometry, as needed. In addition to holding a university degree in English, I have been preparing students for the TEAS, SAT and ACT tests for over six years, and I am proficient in all areas of reading and writing preparation.

The TEAS exam (Test of Essential Academic Skills) is an admissions test for nursing school. It includes tests of reading, English, math, and science. I have experience tutoring both the TEAS and the TABE (a different nursing school admissions test) which is similar to the TEAS albeit less challenging. Not only am I an experienced math tutor (algebra, geometry, and SAT/ACT prep), I hold a BA in English from the University of Rochester and BS Biology and DPM (Doctor of Podiatric Medicine) degrees from Scholl College in Chicago. My educational background includes an entire spectrum of college-level biology and chemistry courses in addition to the math and English courses.

NURSING SCHOOL DOSAGE CALCULATIONS

I used Cynthia before to help me with TEAS. I got into nursing school that is very competitive. Now we had to self teach ourselves to do dosage calculations. I was very hung up on the weight ones. I passed with an A after my session with Cynthia. Use her!! She's the best

If you are terrified of taking the TEAS and have no idea where to begin- Cynthia has taught the TEAS for years. All of her students she tutors are preparing for the TEAS. Not only is Cynthia aware of all the materials, but she constantly has feedback from her students who will let her know what's on the TEAS and what and how to study for it. The TEAS is a challenging test because it's such a broad spectrum of 4 subjects. Cynthia knows how to break down every subject in a way you can easily digest it. She also knows what material to suggest to study. Even though Cynthia is a MASTER of all the sections of the TEAS- the reality is, if you haven't taken Microbiology or Anatomy/Physiology- you need someone who can introduce you to it. In my opinion, the TEAS isn't something you can just "wing" but I was able to get a comprehensive passing score after just a month of dedication with Cynthia. I firmly believe if it weren't for her, I would have absolutely bombed it. I'm a smart student and made As in both microbiology and A&P- but the TEAS is a whole different beast. The TEAS study guide is too vague. I think they do it on purpose. She knows what's on it and how to guide you. She knows all the material on the test. On top of it all, she is patient and kind and very personable. If you need to pass the TEAS and have no idea where to start- Cynthia is your best bet. Thank you Cynthia!
