I am a double major in physics and chemistry entering my third year of undergraduate studies at the Rochester Institute of Technology and working toward an accelerated Master's degree in physics as well as my BS in physics and chemistry. At RIT, I am employed at the Academic Success Center where I provide walk-in tutoring, homework help, and support in Algebra, Calculus, Chemistry, and Physics. I have also been employed multiple times as a classroom teaching assistant or learning assistant for beginning physics courses, and in the spring of 2026 I received the Outstanding TA/LA award for excellence in classroom support and teaching.
I have worked for the online tutoring agency VarsityTutors for over a year, during which I have created over 400 pages of SAT test-prep, practice problems, and worksheet material, and have helped multiple students raise their SAT scores by over 300 points. I currently have a five-star rating on that platform. I prioritize an organized method of tutoring and like to teach by example; I make frequent analogies and give real-world examples to contextualize abstract mathematical and scientific concepts. I might provide a simple example which demonstrates the same concept as a complicated problem, or ask the student to retrieve some object from their household which demonstrates a physical concept. I like to work with preteens, teenagers, and college-aged individuals.
At RIT, I have a 4.0 GPA and am in the College of Science Honors Program. In 2026 I was awarded a summer undergraduate research fellowship and also presented with the School of Physics and Astronomy Alumni Endowed Scholarship for academic excellence and promise in research.
I am passionate about making students feel empowered via knowledge. I want all of my students to receive the tools necessary to not only achieve their immediate academic goals, but to become strong independent thinkers to help them be successful in all aspects of their life, present and future.
