I have 17+ years experience in learning and playing violin in the school, community, and semi-professional settings, having taught beginner and intermediate students ages 6-40+ for the past 8 years. My approach to music education is holistic and evidence based, always working towards creating a "just-right" challenge unique to each individual to foster understanding and improvement.
I have been teaching ballroom dance for 7 years now to youth and adults locally and nationally at various universities, the Lilac Dance Center in Rochester, NY, and online. I enjoy describing and showing foundational technique and fundamentals of movement in this partner dance, as well as incorporating my background in occupational therapy to overcome physical challenges and stretch/strengthen key muscle groups. No partner is necessary to participate and enjoy!
Drawing and painting has been a part of my life since early childhood where I have continued learning and sharing techniques through the collegiate level. My project and technique-based tutoring style covers pencil, charcoal, oil, gouache, and acrylic mediums.
