Jared was tremendously helpful during my preparation for both Step 1 and Step 2. He is unique in that his methods rely on strategy rather than brute memorization, and his teaching style is super easy to follow and accessible. Notably, he is also just a good person. Step studying inevitably comes with many ups and downs, and Jared had a tremendous ability to help me when I was anxious or uncertain about anything during my preparation. He provides you with not only the tools and skillset to succeed, but also the confidence to believe in yourself, which is just as important in preparing for these difficult examinations. Great planner and great listener!

Jared met with me after I needed to push my step 1 date and was feeling like I was never going to be ready for this big test. He came prepared with a rough outline of a plan to get my studying on track, and then tweaked it with my feedback about what worked and what didn't for my studying. The plan has been easy to follow and is a manageable amount of material. He also helped me understand areas I was not studying effectively so I could change strategies. He listened to my worries and helped reassure me about the test which has made me feel more confident in my studying! I look forward to meeting with him again.

I was impressed that Jared started with getting to know me, and he then dove deep into the numbers and baseline... how many days left, how many questions left, how many UWorld passes, how many practice tests, scores of those practice tests. This give me a great snapshot of where I was, and based on where I wanted to go, what I needed to get there. This gave me a simplistic schedule to follow. I also valued Jared's approach to learning... build a strong foundation of physiology and pathophysiology, and then use connections to add the other layers. This method helped me accomplish an application-based thought process vs "remembering" concepts and facts. Jared is also great at walking you through high yield content with review sessions, and giving you an order of the most high yield topics to start with, even when it comes to questions. I am eager to see what my scores look like after only 5 sessions with Jared at the time of this posting.

Incredibly knowledgeable, very patient and kind tutor!

I have been working on Step 2 prep with Jared and have found him to be extremely knowledgeable with the content, as well as patient and kind! I have really appreciated how when discussing various concepts that I struggle with, he will also mention other high yield facts that are related to that concept. This really helps me build a content framework for what we are discussing. Jared was very thorough in discussing a customized study plan for my Step 2 dedicated time and his advice to approaching questions has been excellent. He also seems to know pretty much everything about Step 2 content because he is able to answer random questions that I think of during our tutoring sessions. Jared is also great at quickly assessing where my knowledge gaps are which has been helpful because he can then address these gaps that I may not have known existed. I highly recommend Jared for Step 2 tutoring- he is great!!!
