I couldn't be more pleased with having Marc tutor my daughter in Algebra 2/trigonometry. When Marc began tutoring my daughter in Oct. 2014, she had a 72 average in class and was struggling to complete assignments. I was becoming increasingly concerned, so I reached out to Marc and he started hour long lessons twice a week. Since then, I am happy to report my daughter's average has gone up to a 93 in a few short months and her confidence is through the roof. Marc is a retired teacher and I can tell he takes his time to plan out his sessions; he is thorough, patient and dedicated and I wouldn't hesitate recommending him to others as he has proven to be an invaluable resource in my daughters education.
Marc is a very friendly tutor who has a lot to offer. He has an extensive background in the NYC school system and is familiar with the common core testing format.
I needed someone to help me brush up on my math for an upcoming exam. He answered and explained everything to me in detail and I was very satisfied with our session. He did a great job and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM!
Marc has been an amazing tutor. He is patient and gets to know his student. He is on time and brings work with him for review. I was very impressed and satisfied with his work. Marc has helped my son go up over 10 points on his overall math grade and should he need a math tutor next school year, I would call Marc back. Since working with Marc, my son's overall math grade has gone up 3 points, which is amazing because he has been at the same level since 6th grade.
Marc is tutoring my 8th grade son in ELA. My son is a good student but shows difficulty in putting together an well developed essay. I have asked Marc to help my son with this particular topic. I feel that my son is very comfortable working with Marc and is understanding the directions and suggestions that Marc is giving him. Marc is very patient and flexible. He listens to my son's comments regarding the topic, and very calmly makes his points about what would have been a better response to that argument. Mark is very easy to reach by phone or email. He is very punctual and is very generous with his time. I would highly recommend Marc. He is professional, dedicated and knows the subject. Great tutor.
Great tutor. Mr. Marc P is an excellent tutor. He is very patient, and he teaches my daughter techniques that make math easier for her. Thank you Mr. Marc!
Mr. P. is a great Math tutor. Willing to coordinate a tutoring session with my son. He will break everything down to the T so you can understand each part of the lesson and takes his time and doesn't rush through the lesson. I would recommend to anyone looking for a tutor.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
