Hi, I'm Lindsey, a young mathematician who would love to help you understand mathematics! I have about 6 months of one-on-one math tutoring experience at the middle and high school level, and 1 year of volunteer classroom experience, including creating and giving math lessons for high-schoolers, and assisting in a fifth-grade classroom. I am a published math researcher, with a Bachelor's degree in mathematics, pursuing studies at the graduate level. Mathematics is hard, but it should also be very rewarding. I teach with lots of patience, and with a genuine love for the subject I hope to impart on students!

I would be happy to help you learn prealgebra, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, precalculus, calculus, linear algebra, real analysis, or abstract algebra (my favorite!).

In my tutoring lessons, I have helped students with their difficult homework questions, created practice problems to address confusion, and identified areas of weakness and created lesson plans to address them. My number one goal is to help my students understand mathematical ideas and prepare them to succeed independently.

I love to think about discrete math. I have published original research in combinatorics, and additionally use basic logic, set theory, number theory, and graph theory in my current research. Real Analysis

Real Analysis

I earned an A in both introductory and advanced real analysis, and while doing so, helped my classmates (as well as them helping me!) understand the course material and succeed. I now use real analysis in my math research, where I often need to think deeply about sequences, limits, continuity, compactness, measure theory, and more. Good Communication with Parents and Quick Rapport with Pupil

We have used Lindsey for a couple of sessions and are hoping to see her more consistently. She communicates well and has a calm and patient demeanor that resonates with our child. Our child is in advanced math and needs a boost and she understands the need to give added support on hard problems. Recommend her!
