After becoming an instructional coach, I completed a Master’s in Educational Administration, which qualified me to hold my current role as a Director of Curriculum and Instruction.
I miss being in the classroom and spending time cultivating a love for learning in students! I’m excited about getting back to my roots by doing some 1:1 tutoring and inspiring adolescents to get connected with math and the career paths associated with the subject. I love incorporating learning manipulatives and technology into my instruction so that students develop conceptual understanding alongside procedural fluency.
My students describe me as understanding and encouraging. I teach them the why behind my high expectations and give them the support they need to reach them. My approach is rooted in the belief that all children can learn when they have the safety and consistency necessary to foster the development of a growth mindset toward themselves.
