Hi! I'm Julie, a math tutor specializing in calculus with over 1,000 of tutoring experience. I have been tutoring since 2021, and while I especially love tutoring calculus, I am also experienced in SAT prep, and I am happy to tutor any K-12 math class as well as college-level linear algebra or DiffEQ.

In May 2026, I completed my B.S. in Mathematics at the University of Pittsburgh, where I also studied Film and Media Studies. As an undergraduate, I mostly tutored online, where I learned how to make tutoring feel comfortable on a video call. I tutored many students short-term, and I also started with a few long-term college-aged students who I have now been tutoring for nearly two years through calculus 1 and 2. Having helped more than 15 college- and high-school-aged students through calculus and SAT prep (sometimes separately, sometimes concurrently), I am prepared to help you tackle any challenges that arise in your course or your test prep journey! I especially love supporting neurodivergent students and students with interests in the arts and humanities. I have also tutored several K-8 students, and I currently work part-time as a contracting tutor in NYC K-12 schools.

I like to start each session by identifying which topics are the most confusing right now in order to help you get on track with your class and mitigate academic stress. Then, once we've addressed the topics that are most stressful right now, we can work backwards and review the rest of the course to make sure you're fully prepared when it comes time for your final exam. For test prep, my approach is similar; I'll help you break up the test into digestible chunks and prioritize studying the parts that are challenging for you.
