I am a certified high school math teacher in NYC and have been working in a NYC public school for nine years now. Starting September 2025 is my tenth year. I have experience teaching Algebra 1, Geometry (my favorite!), Algebra 2, and Statistics in the classroom. During the day, I also tutor for one period with small groups of students, and this tutoring includes pre-calculus and calculus. For a few of these years, I have tutored after school with small groups as well, always a mix of different NY State Regents math subjects. I am very familiar with the NY State Standards, both common core and next generation as we make the transition.
I obtained my professional teaching license from NY State and a Masters Degree in Math Education from Queens College. My undergraduate degree is from SUNY Buffalo and my major was Aerospace Engineering. All throughout college and leading up to me becoming a teacher, I tutored math as well. I tutored at a learning center on campus where students would bring in any math they were working to get help with it. Between college and graduate school, I tutored by visiting student homes and working with them on their school work.
