Hello! I’m Moises.
I have a strong educational background in music, currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Instrumental Arts at Bard College Conservatory of Music. I earned a double major Bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University in Music Performance (Double Bass) and Interdisciplinary Studies (Voice), complemented by earlier formal training at the National School of Music in Honduras. My academic formation also includes specialized leadership and project management training through the Global Leaders Institute, where I explored music as a tool for community development and entrepreneurship.
My teaching experience includes several years of instruction in both formal and informal settings. From 2016 to 2019, I taught double bass at the National School of Music in Honduras, working with students ages 13 to 18. And I worked as an assistant teacher with the Houston Youth Symphony working with bilingual students (Spanish and English). In all these roles, I designed lesson plans, prepared assessments, and regularly communicated with parents about student progress, while also participating in faculty activities. Additionally, I have experience as a substitute music teacher in Costa Rica, and worked as a guest teacher at KIPP schools in Washington DC. My teaching approach focuses on developing each student’s individual potential through structured guidance, clear goal-setting, and supportive mentorship, whether in one-on-one lessons or group settings.
I’m happy to provide all my knowledge to any eager student.
Please free to ask me admission college questions. I have worked as a student leader with the office of admissions at Louisiana State University (LSU).
