Hello, everyone! My name is Christa and I am an award-winning author of five traditionally-published novels, a developmental editor, writing mentor, and private teacher with almost 20 years experience.
I have instructed middle and high schoolers in writing and literature in home, online, and classroom settings, working with students both individually and groups. My teaching has spanned literary analysis; creative writing (fiction, non-fiction, and poetry); all aspects of narrative craft; essays (personal, narrative, descriptive, expository, argumentative, critical); college writing readiness; response journaling and more.
I've also worked with adults in various stages of their writing processes, from beginners who still untangling their ideas, to seasoned novelists needing a developmental editor.
Ultimately, I believe we can all be better writers. My task is to help each of my students or clients move forward in their writing while give them the tools and knowledge to reach their goals.
