System/Mechanical Engineer for Math, Physics, English and SAT Tutoring

Hi! I'm a systems/mechanical engineer at one of the top defense contractors. My past experiences has enabled me to specialize in material characterization, perform weight average calculations, sustainment, maintainable design, and obsolescence management. I graduated cum laude from The City College of New York with a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering in 2019, and a Masters of Engineering in Systems Engineering from Old Dominion University in 2022.

In the past, I have tutored over 9 years. I tutored at Best Score Tutoring in New York. There, I assisted K-12 students with their homework and delved into topics that they felt challenging. Also as a SAT tutor, I helped students prepare for their standardized exam. I identified their areas of weakness and suggested a plan for skill improvement. I also tutored at the Grove School of Engineering at The City College of New York. I tutored students in the following subjects: statics, dynamics, calculus, differential equations, and physics. One of the methods I heavily utilized were drawings to make break down concepts and problems into bite size pieces to make them comprehensible.

Although I'm a full time engineer, I still have a passion for teaching and I try to improve on the challenges my students face. Identifying the challenge is half the battle. Formulating a plan for solution, and following through with it leads to success.

My approach to math has always been using it to solve real-world problem scenarios so all the gibberish actually start making sense. Applying math in the real world not only enhances the understanding of the subject, but also tinkers your hunger on how to use this tool is all aspects of your life, making life go a little bit smoother; one problem at a time.
