I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Bard College, where I developed a rigorous foundation across algebra, geometry, calculus, linear algebra, and discrete mathematics. I extended my pedagogical training through one semester of Bard's Master of Arts in Teaching program, assisting in middle school mathematics instruction and gaining direct experience in lesson delivery and student assessment. In May 2025, I completed the Per Scholas cybersecurity program with a perfect score of 100 and graduated as valedictorian. I hold a CompTIA CySA+ certification, a Google Cybersecurity Professional Certificate, a Splunk Core Certified User certification, and Cisco certifications in Linux Essentials, Introduction to Cybersecurity, and Operating Systems Basics.
For the past six years, I have maintained a private tutoring practice serving students from Pre-K through 12th grade, both online and in person. My methodology is research-driven and individualized. When a recent elementary student struggled with long division, I researched multiple instructional approaches until I identified the method best suited to her learning profile, then designed lessons and educational games using her personal interests to sustain engagement. Her parents soon reported that she had become fully independent with her homework and was consistently scoring 100% on assessments. One student progressed from 10% to 100% within a handful of sessions. Others begin in the 60% range and we work together until they reach consistent mastery before moving on. I develop custom problem sets and interactive lessons for each student because engagement and comprehension are inseparable.
I have substantial experience supporting students with ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, autism spectrum disorder, and processing disorders, calibrating pacing, format, and delivery to each learner's needs. I also hold a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training certification from Always-at-Aum, and I bring the same patient, methodical, student-centered approach to every subject I teach.

I hold a Master's degree from Bard College along with a Bachelor's degree and a certification in teaching mathematics, and I have been teaching elementary students for seven years. I run my own math tutoring practice, Kaliania Math, and I currently teach in one of the top rated public schools in New York City as well as in several schools across the Hudson Valley. One of my recent elementary students earned admission to one of the most competitive private middle schools in the area, which reflects the heart of how I work, which is to sit with each student inside what they are actually learning, find the exact gap that is holding them back, and rebuild from there until they can do the work confidently on their own.

I trained in acting at a performing arts college, where I placed second in my acting cohort, and theater has continued to be a daily part of my life for the two years since. I now teach younger students how to perform, and I focus less on memorization and more on helping them fully accept the character as a real identity, which is the actual key that separates a stiff scene from one that lands. My sessions tend to be playful and high energy with a lot of singing, dancing, and movement, because the youngest actors learn fastest when the room feels safe enough to take real risks. I am also particularly strong at coaching public speaking and icebreaking exercises, since the body and voice work behind theater translates directly into how someone shows up in front of any audience.
