Hello to all of the young Padawans, sorcerer’s apprentices, first year students, tributes, and prospective supernatural creatures! Word on the street is that you’re looking for a new tutor to encourage mastery of your passions (and help you persevere through your greatest trials). My approach is designed to help you think not only outside of the box, but without a box at all. I believe that difficult subjects are triumphs waiting to happen, and that you are the rubric against which success is best measured.

If you’re looking for help on a college essay, we’ll work on drawing out the perfect anecdotes, wrangling words to help you say what you mean, and of course, we’ll proofread! Most importantly, we’ll have fun writing it (yes, it is possible!) and eliminate as much stress as possible from the process. I can also help you develop creative and critical reading skills that will help you thrive in a high achieving academic environment.

As for my qualifications in teaching, I’ve spent the past four years as a teaching assistant in Europe through the Spanish Ministry of Education and as a Fulbright grantee in Greece. I’ve worked with English Language Learners one-on-one, in extracurricular speech and debate tournaments, and in classroom settings. I've also been tutoring individuals ages 11 to 18 one-on-one for the past ten years, on everything from Shakespeare’s comedies to the Trolley Problem.

I was my high school’s valedictorian as well as my college's. I’m happy to counsel on test prep strategies and provide content review for standardized tests. I received fives on the English AP exams (as well as fives on the other five exams I took), and a 780 in reading on the old SAT, with a GRE score of 165/170 in verbal reasoning to boot--and I love passing on my good study habits!
