I'm a certified New York State math teacher (grades 7–12) with a Master’s degree in Mathematics Education from SUNY Buffalo. I currently teach full-time at Garrison Middle School, where I work with students in grades 6–8 on topics ranging from foundational skills to Algebra 1. I’ve been teaching for several years and have experience supporting students at many different levels—from those who need remediation to those seeking enrichment and Regents exam preparation.
My tutoring style is patient, encouraging, and highly responsive to the individual needs of each student. I believe that math anxiety often comes from not being given the time or space to understand the “why” behind mathematical concepts. My sessions are focused on building conceptual understanding, boosting confidence, and developing problem-solving strategies that stick. I use questioning, visuals, and real-world connections to help students internalize key ideas, not just memorize procedures.
In addition to my classroom work, I’ve tutored students one-on-one in both in-person and online settings. I specialize in Algebra 1, Regents prep, and middle school math, but I’m comfortable working with students across all secondary math subjects. I also frequently collaborate with families to provide feedback and support long-term academic growth. Whether your child is struggling or simply wants to get ahead, I’m here to help them feel more confident and capable in math.
