I am a mathematics and science major who also has a personal interest in both subjects. I have taken algebra, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus, and calculus in college. I have continued to study these subjects on my own for my own private interests. I have also taken college chemistry and physics and I also have a personal interest in both of these subjects as well. My career goal is to teach mathematics at the junior college level. I have tutored several students in the past who were either trying to pass a subject in college or who were trying to get their GED from New York State.
I am a patient person who understands that learning is something that takes time and repetition. I believe in sitting down one-on-one with students with pen and paper, and going over theory and exercises until understanding is reached. I do not furnish new material until current material is grasped and mastered satisfactorily, as the nature of mathematics and the physical sciences are such that they build upon previous material. I am also knowledgeable in basic electronics, and I am an A+ certified computer support technician (previous job). I have been recognized in college with an award for achieving the highest GPA in Liberal Arts for a semester at SUNY Canton.
I am available most hours of the day (9am-9pm) to meet with prospective students. If interested in my services, please follow correct protocol according to this site's policies.
